📢 Possible change in the deadline to apply for Portuguese nationality

The Portuguese Government is considering a significant change in the nationality acquisition process. One of the proposals under discussion is to increase the minimum legal residency period required to apply for Portuguese citizenship, which is currently five years.

📌 Important: until any change is officially published in the Diário da República, the current requirement remains 5 years of legal residence in Portugal to apply for nationality.
